The next big project. The dining room, floor was stripped and refinished. What a difference it makes, now I have to strip with wallpaper and repaint.

Living room. The floor was stripped and refinished. My daughter and I painted and I bought furniture.

Another shot of the LR. For 12 years we (then I) had no LR furniture. The floors were very dark, so even with new furniture, it was kind of grim.

Cabinet stain. White birch with a cinnamon stain. From Adelphi Kitchens.

Pantry. Same as the "old" pantry. 5' wide, 2' deep. I added a light, the wood floor was also installed into the pantry. The shelves are a little deeper. I removed the bifold doors and added sliding doors - it works much better now.

Left side of the pantry. I added space to store the vacuum and a few other things. By removing the bifold doors, I gained 6" of access to each side of the pantry.

Remodeled laundry room. Maytag Neptune W/D, porcelain tile floor, base and wall cabinets, Formica "Colorado Slate" counter. The W/D sits on a set of appliance rollers, so moves easily away from the wall. And, finally, I was able to display Elvis.

Other side of (very small) laundry room. The sink is a Swan laundry sink. I put a Rev-A-Shelf pull out trash can under the sink, wonderful invention. The cats are fed in here, it's easy to keep the floor clean now. With the stacked W/D they can now go out using the door in the laundry room. Big improvement.

Tray cabinet, the dividers slide out, though I'm not sure why.

I have two corner cabinets like this, no susans, super or lazy - just shelves for all the big stuff that used to be in the basement. I like the design, it's not blind, there are no hidden corners, and the door is big.

FYI - the dishwasher is mounted to a strip of wood embedded in some kind of plastic material that is set into a track that was cut into the underside of the granite in front of the dishwasher. Nothing shows under the counter.

Baltic Brown Granite. Light brown, green and black are the predominate colors. I like the "hazel eyes" look of the inclusions.

Spice rack inside cupboard door. The shelves are a little narrower so the door can close. I really like the arrangement.

One of my nine inch drawers. They are small to accomodate the peninsula. I thought they would be useless, but they've turned out to be very useful. I keep things in them that I use a lot, and I don't need to root around in a big drawer of cabinet for them. Go figure.

This is, by far, the busiest wallpaper in the world. The powder room on the first floor.

The tile is in. It's Casa Dolce Casa, Le Argile, Terra Grigia. My son did an amazing job.

New sink and toilet are in. Toto Drake ADA in Sedona Beige. I really like the softer color. What a wonderful change. It's such a small room, it's hard to get a good picture.
