The new kitchen is DONE. The cats are happy. I remodeled the kitchen, laundry room and pantry. Started in early February 2004, and was finished by the end of May, 2004. Here's the most amazing forum, Gardenweb Kitchen Forum with questions, answers and great forum friends.

My daughter and her husband and I took a two week Cruisetour of Alaska with Princess Cruises, June 18 - July 2, 2005, with a landtour to Prudhoe Bay. It was a great trip. Please see a longer description in the album.

Some of the birds, butterflies and other critters in my yard. I live in north central Maryland, in a pretty woodsy area. I have lots of wildlife out here. I love sitting in the kitchen or on the back porch. So much happens.

My son-in-law Mike and I made 34 jars of Annie's Salsa from the Cooking Forum with tomatoes and peppers from the garden. It was a very productive and satisfying day, and we are still enjoying it!

A Roost of Turkey Vultures

Thursday morning, July 22, northern Baltimore County, MD. A dead deer in a field. This roost of vultures spends most of it's time within a few miles of this farm, in the trees by the river, or the resevoir, or near the landfill. This is breakfast.

September 2003. Zion is just a couple of hours north of Las Vegas. It is definitely worth a trip.

Monument Valley Navaho Tribal Park

October, 2003. This is one monumental place. Well worth the trip. If you go, be sure to take one of the daytrips into the park. If you want to learn about the people and the area, read the books by Tony Hillerman, set in the southwest. I think this is my favorite park. It is still inhabited, by an honorable, decent people, and the history of the place is all over, and very much a living history.

Trailride in Utah

In September and October, 2002, my son David and I did a one week trail ride in Southern Utah. What an experience.
